Screen readers and search
This style swaps the letters for different characters, so a screen reader reads out character names instead of your word, and the text stops matching a search.
Usernames are different
Every style here works in a bio, caption, message or status. None of them work in an @username or handle: those fields are checked against a short list of plain characters and anything else is refused. That is the field rejecting the characters, not the generator failing.

How it works
Regional indicator symbols are twenty six characters, one per letter, that were added so flags could be composed from country codes. They are not a font and not an image set. The generator converts your input into them, which is why the tiles keep working when pasted into a caption or a chat.
The side effect is worth reading twice. When two of these characters sit next to each other and form a valid country code, most platforms combine them into that country's flag instead of showing two letters. So US becomes an American flag, GB a British one, DE a German one, and any word containing such a pair can produce a flag in the middle of it without warning. Check the preview before you post, and add a space or another character between the two letters if you want them kept apart.
There is a single case, so uppercase and lowercase input give the same tiles, and digits are not converted. Screen readers read out the character or flag name rather than your word, and the text will not match search, so this is a style for a short headline rather than for anything anyone needs to read or find later. Bios, captions, comments and statuses accept it; handle fields do not.

Why has part of my word turned into a flag?
Two adjacent regional indicator letters that form a country code are joined into that flag by the platform. Pairs such as US, GB, DE, FR and BR trigger it. Separate the letters with a space or a thin character to stop it happening.
Can I use emoji letters in a username?
No. Usernames and handles accept only plain letters, numbers and a little punctuation, so the paste will be rejected. The display name or nickname beside the handle usually accepts them.
Why are they so large?
Apps render these characters through the emoji font, which is drawn at a larger size than ordinary text. That size is set by the reading device, not by the generator.
Do numbers work?
No. Only the twenty six letters exist in this set, so digits and punctuation are passed through unchanged.
