Screen readers and search
This style swaps the letters for different characters, so a screen reader reads out character names instead of your word, and the text stops matching a search.
Usernames are different
Every style here works in a bio, caption, message or status. None of them work in an @username or handle: those fields are checked against a short list of plain characters and anything else is refused. That is the field rejecting the characters, not the generator failing.
The character order is genuinely reversed, so the text reads backwards to a computer even though it looks right to you.
How it works
There is no rotation happening and no font involved. The generator holds a lookup table pairing each letter and digit with a real Unicode character that resembles it upside down, drawn from Latin extensions, phonetic symbols and a few other blocks. Those characters are then written out in reverse order, because the last letter of your sentence has to appear first for the flip to read properly.
Coverage is complete: upper case, lower case and digits all have a partner, so nothing is left standing the right way up. The characters were designed for other purposes entirely, which means a few of them are close approximations rather than perfect mirrors. The result is convincing at a glance and slightly rough on close inspection, which is the honest description of every upside down generator, including the ones that do not say so.
The reversal has consequences beyond appearance. Selecting the text with a cursor feels backwards, because your device still treats the first character as the start. Copying part of a flipped line usually gives you the wrong half. Screen readers announce each substituted character by name rather than reading anything sensible, and search will not match a single word. It works in bios, captions, posts, statuses and messages, and it will be rejected by an @username field.

Why is the text hard to select and edit?
The character order is genuinely reversed. Your keyboard, cursor and text field still work left to right on the underlying characters, so selecting and deleting behave the opposite way to what you see.
Does it flip numbers as well?
Yes. All ten digits have an upside down counterpart in this style, so dates and figures flip along with the words.
Can I flip it back?
Paste the flipped text into the box and it will be converted again, which returns most of it to normal. A few characters that stand for more than one original may not come back exactly, so keep the original if it matters.
Will it show properly on everyone's phone?
In almost all cases yes, since the characters come from widely supported Unicode blocks. Very old devices may show a box for one or two of the rarer substitutes.
