Square Text Generator
Square text wraps each letter in an outlined box using Unicode's squared Latin characters. Paste it into a profile, a caption, a chat message or a Discord nickname and the boxes come with it.

Screen readers and search
This style swaps the letters for different characters, so a screen reader reads out character names instead of your word, and the text stops matching a search.
Usernames are different
Every style here works in a bio, caption, message or status. None of them work in an @username or handle: those fields are checked against a short list of plain characters and anything else is refused. That is the field rejecting the characters, not the generator failing.
This block has no lower-case letters at all, so your text is capitalised automatically.
How it works
There is no font at work here. Every box you see is a single Unicode character that happens to be drawn as a letter inside a square outline, so the shape belongs to the text rather than to any styling applied on top of it. That is the whole reason it survives being copied into places where formatting is not allowed.
Unicode gave this block capitals only. The generator therefore upper-cases whatever you type before converting it, which is why lowercase input comes back looking the same as uppercase input. Numbers are left alone: the squared digits sit outside the range this style uses, so figures appear plainly among the boxes.
The characters are substitutes for the real letters, which has two consequences. Assistive software announces each one by its Unicode name instead of reading the word, and neither ctrl-F nor a platform's own search will find the text. The usual field rule applies too: content fields such as bios, captions, statuses and messages take square text, while identity fields such as @usernames reject it because they only allow a fixed set of plain characters.
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to what people ask us most
Can I write lowercase square text?
No. The squared letter block contains capitals only, so the generator converts your input to uppercase. Any tool claiming lowercase square letters is showing you something else, usually a mix of two different styles.
Why are my digits not in boxes?
This style converts letters only and leaves numbers exactly as typed, so a phone number or a year keeps its normal appearance.
Will square text work in a TikTok bio?
Yes. TikTok renders it in the bio, captions and comments, and in the nickname above your handle. The @username itself only accepts letters, numbers, underscores and full stops.
Do I need to install anything?
No. These characters are already present in the system fonts on current phones, tablets and computers, so both you and your readers see them without any download.
